Rose Tirotta-Esposito, has over 20 years of experience in teaching, instructional design, and management, both in K-12 and higher education. She is currently the Director of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) at Stony Brook University, leading the team that supports educators with traditional, blended, and online curriculum design and integrating student-centered learning into their curriculum. Rose has an Ed.D. in Learning and Teaching, Teacher Education with a concentration in English Education from Hofstra University and an MS in Education, Secondary English Education/Technology from St. John’s University. Her research interests include active learning and learning space design, online and blended learning, gamification, transmedia, and how electronic communication modalities affect teaching and learning.
Rose has an Ed.D. in Learning and Teaching, Teacher Education with a concentration in English Education. Her dissertation was on The Effect of Texting on Formal Writing in English. She currently adjuncts at Stony Brook University and has previously taught high school English.
